Spot Guide (Half day or Full day)
We offer half-day and full-day guided tours for those new to tenkara fishing.
Rental of fishing gear, waders, etc. is also included, so please feel free to take advantage of this opportunity.
For half-day experiences, there will not be enough time to travel to the source, so the experience will be at the main stream near the office.
If you would like to experience the headwater, please consider the full-day experience.
Also, if you are doing a full-day experience as a day trip from Tokyo, you will need to leave Tokyo (Asakusa Station) at 6-7am and return between 8-9pm, so we recommend that you also consider staying overnight in the Kinugawa Onsen area.

Nikko City is located approximately 2 hours by train from Tokyo and is a tourist city that is home to the world heritage site Nikko Toshogu Shrine, but it is also an area surrounded by rich nature, represented by Nikko National Park, and is a central tourist city. Lake Chuzenji and Yumoto are said to be the birthplace of fly fishing in Japan.
The “Nikko Tenkara Adventure Tour” that our customers will enjoy this time will be held in the eastern part of Nikko City, such as Kinugawa, Kawaji, Kuriyama, and Miyori, which are located east of these areas. Blessed with abundant water, people have been visiting the area since ancient times to relieve their fatigue, and lodging and dining facilities catering to these hot spring guests served mountain stream fish such as char and yamame trout as local ingredients.
The people who caught these mountain stream fish were called “professional fishermen”.
This time, in order to give you a simulated experience of being a professional fisherman, we will not only teach you tenkara fishing at the headwaters of the Kinugawa River, but also teach you the unique way of winding a kebari, how professional fishermen spend their time in the mountains, and how to eat mountain stream fish. Day 1
Please come to Kinugawa Onsen by yourself until 17:00. (We will pick you up at Tobu Railway Kinugawa Onsen Station.)
Your guide will be waiting for you at your hotel in Kinugawa Onsen.
At the hotel, you will have an orientation session for the tour and a kebari tying experience.
