
We provide tenkara fishing guide services in order to spread the appeal of tenkara fishing and pass on this culture to future generations by making more people aware of it.

Over view
- Local guides will guide you through tenkara fishing, a sport that originated in Nikko, so that everyone from beginners to experienced anglers can enjoy it to the fullest.
- Equipment such as waders and tenkara rods are available for free rental. (However, if you have your own, we recommend bringing it with you.)
- In addition to the guide fee, the price includes transportation to and from accommodations and the station in Nikko, transportation to the fishing spot, a fishing license, lunch, and drinking water.
- Prices are as shown in the table below.

One day Guide
This is a guide service for beginner anglers and those who don’t have much time but want to enjoy Japanese Tenkara fishing.
*Please be sure to read the Information before applying.
- The experience lasts approximately 8 hours (including travel time).
- This experience will take place in the Kawaji Onsen area or nearby streams, and will not go to the headwaters.




Overnight Guide
This is a guide service for people who have experience with tenkara fishing or fly fishing and would like to try tenkara fishing.
We can also take you to the source of the river, and provide total support from arrival to departure, including fishing guides, accommodation, meals, and transportation.

- The dates can be flexible from one night depending on your preferences.
- For the safety of our guests and as a backup for bad weather, one day out of the three days will be a rest day. (On the rest day, we can also guide you to places such as the World Heritage site Nikko Toshogu Shrine.)
- If you wish, you can also experience the local traditional technique of tying a fly.






Model course
Day 1
Meet at Tobu Railway Kinugawa Onsen Station. Your guide will greet you.
You will generally go directly to your accommodation, but you can also stop by a fishing tackle shop if you wish.
Day 2
Tenkara fishing all day.
First, you will practice in the main stream, and then in the afternoon, you will head to the source.
Day 3
Tenkara fishing all day.
On this day, we will head to the source of the river in the morning.
Day 4
It is a full day of rest. We can also take you to sightseeing spots such as fishing tackle shops and the World Heritage site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
Day 5
Tenkara fishing all day.
On this day, we will head to the source of the river in the morning.
Day 6
Check out of the accommodation and disband.
We will take you to Kinugawa Onsen Station.
